Not all houses are built with bay windows.  A bay window is a structure with three windows put together to form a concave curve and give one big view.  While bay windows look good in certain houses they do look unattractive in some.  It depends on which angle of the house has been fitted with the bay window and the choice of curtains that matters.
However, a bay window should be dressed up according to its position and style.  The purpose of setting a bay window is to allow more light and more ventilation into the house.  It also serves the purpose of a place for relaxation where one can have one’s morning coffee with the newspapers or just have a good look at the lawn outside or the potted plants lining the window outside.

Well the best way to dress up a bay window is by using the best curtains that would blend with the rest of the room.  Bay windows differ in size and shape with each house, so shopping for bay window curtains will prove futile.  One should select the fabric and get the help of a good seamstress to put it together for that perfect look.

Though the bay window is made up of three parts, ultimately it should be considered as one big window when choosing the fabric and style for the curtains.  There should be a perfect uniformity and blend of fabric and color and not forgetting the uniform length of each curtain to bring out the best effect of elegance.

Valances too can be used to add that extra grandeur to the area.  Though valances to a set of simple curtains could become an expensive thought yet it proves its worth when the window is dressed up.

Whatever the area of a room may be, when the curtaining and tiebacks together with the choice of valances are done, that makes a perfect place to relax and have fun, entertain guests or just party with friends or just the family as a whole.
