Living Room Curtains To Brighten Up The Mood

Living Room Curtains
The choice of curtains and drapes for the living room should be exclusive and carefully selected.  There are many factors to be considered when choosing the right curtain for the living room.  The interior décor of a room depends on the choice of curtains.
If one has a particular curtain design in mind the fabric and the pattern should blend.  An overhanging curtain that is layered will require a different fabric from that of simple pleated curtain design.

The choice of fabric is very important, especially if one’s windows open out to a busy street or a place where the public can see them.  In this case one should choose fabrics that have no wrong side.  This is ideal so that the curtain would look good on the outside as well as inside.

If one lines the curtains it not only gives the place a good appearance it also adds life to the fabric and keeps the place cool or warm according to the weather conditions of each area.  Most people defer from lining the curtains either due to time constraints or simply because they feel it’s unnecessary.  Lining the curtains maintain the color of the fabric and avoid quick fading.

It doesn’t mean that for a small window only an equal sized curtain should be used. Whatever the size of the window, one can place a pelmet right above below the ceiling and let the curtain hang beautifully to the floor.  This would give the room a romantic effect and would camouflage any ugly designed windows that you feel embarrassed to expose.

Finally the tiebacks should not be forgotten.  These add the final touch to the curtains whether of the same color fabric or contrasting colors, the tieback would do a changing act to give it that perfect appearance when you let it hang down or would like to tie it to one side.

Some homes would have a door from the living room leading to the bedroom or a bathroom or the kitchen.  This may need to be closed decoratively without disturbing the beautiful décor of the room.  One can choose beaded curtains or shells or even acrylic shapes that would blend with the color of the curtains and increase the beauty of the room.
